Dr. Intisar Al Busaidi is a Program Coordinator and Lecturer in Oil & Gas and Mineral Processing at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), where she leads academic development, industry engagement, and research initiatives. Her expertise spans enhanced oil recovery (EOR), carbon capture, hydrogen energy, and sustainable energy solutions.
She previously worked as a Research Assistant at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), contributing to polymer-EOR research through experimental work in thermal stability, rheology, wettability alteration, and core flooding. She has practical experience with advanced analytical tools and simulation software (PHREEQC, CMG) supporting improved recovery processes and sustainability in oil and gas operations.
Dr. Intisar has received regional and international recognition for her research excellence, winning first-place awards in competitive Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) events. Alongside research and teaching, she actively contributes to hydrogen and sustainability initiatives, conducts feasibility studies on green hydrogen production, and leads workshops and symposiums focused on energy transition and sustainable development. She is committed to mentoring young professionals and bridging industry needs with academic research.
