Dr. Saif Al Ghafri is a Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and a leading researcher in clean energy, hydrogen systems, and cryogenic fluids. He has extensive industrial and academic experience, having previously worked as a Process Engineer at Shell and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), followed by research and teaching roles at Imperial College London and UWA. He currently leads advanced research initiatives focused on the hydrogen economy and liquid hydrogen, contributing to energy production, transport, storage, and space-related applications. Dr. Al Ghafri is also a Foundation Fellow of the Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC) and leads the Propellant and Cryogenic Fluids group at the UWA International Space Center (ISC).
