Tamkeen: Driving Arab Greentech Leadership Forward Toward COP28
The “Tamkeen” program is a regional Arab initiative designed to train and empower youth and early-career professionals in sustainability and renewable-energy fields. The program provides structured training delivered online and brings together experts, institutions, and trainees from across the Arab world to build practical knowledge and technical skills.
Training covers a wide range of clean-energy topics, including storage technologies, nuclear energy, hydropower, wind, solar, biomass, green hydrogen, energy efficiency, carbon capture, geothermal energy, biogas, and battery systems
The initiative aims to create awareness, develop competencies, and support future leaders who can contribute to the region’s energy transition and climate goals. Organized by ARABRENA in cooperation with the Majan Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and supported by RCREEE, the program emphasizes collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building across the Arab region.
